Joshua G. Kellison, Ph.D. (he, him) is the founder and Director of Clinical Services and Training for SOGIA/EBT Center of Arizona and is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who completed his doctoral training at Arizona State University. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Arizona State University, Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona, School of Medicine-Phoenix, and Adjunct Professor at Midwestern University where he supervises clinical/counseling doctoral candidates. Kellison has specialized training in several types of evidence-based therapy (e.g., ACT, CBT, CPT for PTSD, and full-model DBT). Combined, these forms of therapy support patients with issues in impulse control, parenting skills, anger management, grief, health behaviors, self-harm, sexual/gender issues, emotion regulation and coping skills acquisition.

Dr. Kellison is a certified Sexologist by the American Board of Sexology and provides individual, relationship/s (i.e., couples, polyamory, CNM), and family therapy to all ages (children, adolescents, adults, and aging adults). His work with gender diverse populations (e.g., transgender, non-binary, gender queer, etc.) includes conducting gender-affirming hormone and surgical “readiness” evaluations. He also seeks to support the unique needs of 2SLGBTQIA+ populations while honoring the standards of affirmative care that is culturally sensitive for a variety of ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

Prior to returning to Phoenix in 2014, he completed his postdoctoral training at the VA Pacific Islands Health Care System and the National Center for PTSD in Honolulu, HI with a focus on 2SLGBTQIA+ Veterans and completed his doctoral internship residency in clinical psychology at the University of Washington School of Medicine/Seattle Children’s Hospital. In his spare time, he enjoys reading suspense and historical fiction novels, cooking, traveling, quoting Star Trek/Star Wars in his everyday life, and spending time with his friends and family.
