Kelsey Giles, B.A. (she, her)graduated cum laude from Arizona State University (ASU) in 2020 with a baccalaureate degree in English Literature. While completing some remaining pre-nursing education requirements, Kelsey supports the providers and staff of SOGIA as a Medical Researcher and Medical Content Editor. Kelsey has always had a passion for helping people who are in need of support and care during difficult or painful times. For example, Kelsey is considering nursing with an emphasis in pediatrics or psychiatry. Prior to pursuing her undergraduate education at ASU, Kelsey gained hands-on training through a competitive internship where she had the opportunity to assist and learn from nurses at various San Diego area hospitals. Kelsey was able to rotate through different units within these hospitals (e.g., Acute Surgical, Medical Surgical Telemetry, Intensive Care Unit, and the Emergency Room). Additionally, for the past eight years she has served numerous families and their youth/children as a Child Care Specialist where she has also had the privilege to help youth/children with life skills, tutoring, arts/crafts, and play time.

When not studying or working, Kelsey enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys hiking, surfing, finding new places to eat, cooking, and traveling to new places. One of her favorite part-time jobs was at a Scottsdale bridal shop where she loved to help future brides find their “one dress” and feel their most beautiful.
